Experience
"Coach Gary" has one of the most unique writing backgrounds in the construction industry. A prolific writer, for over fifteen years he appeared regularly in Masonry Magazine, and a handful of other magazines, with his column, "Full Contact Project Management". He has well over four million columns in print. These days his message to contractors and business people is to 'hang in there', encouraging entrepreneurs and owners to survive--even thrive--in this economy. His focus is on project leadership. He enjoys speaking for local and national organizations.
His message to business people and groups, ranging from associations to small companies, often combines these perspectives, giving a blueprint for leading your company through troubling times, taking advantage of those circumstances. His topics regularly included not only project management, but leadership skills, motivation and encouragement.
Beginning in early 2021, he launched the "Brick and Block Podcast", which he hosts, writes and produces, with a construction industry and business target market ranging from large commercial and industrial and down to the residential, home services specialists. Spotify, IHeart Media, Itunes, Audible, Amazon, Google Podcast, Radio Public, and most others carry his podcasts. BrickAndBlockPodcast.com is a good place to catch examples of his speaking and writing abilities. SupremeWordManagement.com is his company website.
With experience as a State of California, licensed (A) general engineering contractor, and extensive experience as a construction project manager, he is all about making the project go smoothly, staying on-time, and on-budget, writing and managing change orders. He has written extensively on that subject, including his book, "Get Paid for a Change!" (avail. Amazon.com). And yet, his academic training is in marketing, with a B.S. from San Diego State (Go Aztecs!)
His message to business people and groups, ranging from associations to small companies, often combines these perspectives, giving a blueprint for leading companies through troubling times, taking advantage of those circumstances.
He enjoys public speaking, frequently addressing business and construction-related groups on motivation and leadership, and even as a Biblical lector!
Gary also consults on the use of YouTube marketing, press releases, social media and lead generation for small businesses.
